introducing cleanroom fabrics that turn manufacturing waste into new textiles
We’re proud to announce a major milestone in circular textile innovation at alsico with the launch of two new cleanroom fabrics, Roca and Carezza, created using recycled content from our own manufacturing waste.
a first for cleanroom garments
Believed to be a first within the cleanroom industry, the fabrics integrate recycled textile fibres while meeting the stringent performance requirements of contamination control environments. The development represents a significant step toward closed-loop solutions in cleanroom textiles.
For the first time, alsico has reintroduced cutting waste from its own garment production back into the supply chain as raw material for new fabrics, transforming textile waste into usable feedstock.
no compromise on cleanroom standards
Both fabrics have been fully validated and deliver the same comfort, durability, and performance standards as existing contamination control materials. Validation includes extensive stress testing and simulation testing specific to cleanroom use, providing assurance that the fabrics pose no contamination risk across defined use cycles. While the sector is not governed by formal regulation, alsico applies rigorous internal testing protocols based on decades of cleanroom expertise.
breaking barriers in innovative cleanroom garments
Roca and Carezza are the first fabrics in alsico’s contamination control portfolio to incorporate recycled textile content, demonstrating that circular solutions can be implemented without compromising wearer safety or product protection.
The breakthrough was enabled not by new technology alone, but by operational scale and strong partnerships that allow textile waste to be reintegrated efficiently and with minimal financial impact. Alsico is working to divert its entire cutting waste back into garment production.
With nearly 100 years of textile expertise and the support of the alsico academy, we continue to develop advanced cleanroom solutions that combine validated performance, compliance with contamination control standards and responsible manufacturing.
Waste matters. Nothing should go to waste. Every textile waste piece is a resource, not refuse. At alsico, we believe in a future where workers everywhere can perform at their very best. That means providing clothing that keeps them comfortable, protected, and confident, while also taking responsibility for the impact we have on future generations.

closing the loop in cleanroom textiles
The initiative builds on alsico’s broader circular strategy, supported by arx and 3CL, which focus on keeping textiles in use and advancing closed-loop systems across the workwear industry.
Beyond its immediate environmental impact, the project serves as a proof point for the wider sector, demonstrating that circular cleanroom textiles are achievable today and setting a direction for future industry standards.
We are a company based on humans and garments. We do everything we can to create the very best garments to protect the humans who wear them, without compromising on what matters. This project shows that we can protect workers, protect sensitive environments, and push circular innovation forward at the same time. Most importantly, these new fabrics do not come at a premium.
